كاهن روماني من أصل يهودي، وكان من الأعضاء الرئيسيين في جماعة من المعترفين أيام كبريانوس Cyprian، وذلك نحو بداية ظهور بدعة النوفاتيين Navatianist
اما بقية أسماء جماعة المعترفين فهي: الكاهن مكسيموس Maximus، الشماسان نيكوستارتوس وروفينوس Nicostratus and Rufinus، يوربانوس، سيدونيوس، مكاريوس وسيليرينوس Urbanus, Sidonius, Macarius and Celerinus
يقول عنهم كبريانوس أنهم كانوا أول مجموعة من المعترفين في زمن اضطهاد داكيوس Decius، ويبدو أنهم قد حُبِسوا في الوقت الذي استشهد فيه فابيان Fabian (20 يناير سنة 250م)
وقد كتبوا في بداية الاضطهاد رسالة يحثون فيها المعترفين في قرطاجنة على الالتزام بالنظام، كما كتبوا رسالة أخرى إلى كبريانوس
وبعد أن أمضوا حوالي سنة في السجن، وبالتحديد احدى عشر شهرًا وبضعة أيام، تنيح موسى في الأول من يناير سنة 251م واعتُبِر من بين المعترفين بل ومن الشهداء
يقال أنه قبل نياحته بفترة قصيرة رفض موسى الاتصال بنوفاتيان Novatian والخمس كهنة الذين كانوا يساندونه ويأيدونه في رأيه، إذ رأى أن إيمانهم ورأيهم لم يكن مستقيمًاclick here
