رأي أمًا تبكي على إبنها الشاب الذي كان مفلوجًا وبه روح شرير، فتأثر جدًا، وأخذ الشاب إلى الهيكل الذي بناه بنفسه واحتفظ فيه ببعض رفات للقديس يوحنا المعمدان، وصار يصلي من الثالثة حتى التاسعة ثم أعاده معه إلى أمه معافى من الشلل وخرج منه الروح الشرير
قيل أن امرأة عجوز كانت تبكي لأنها فقدت خروفها، فسار وراءها يسألها عن المكان الذي أضاعت فيه الخروف، فاقتادته إلى مكان قريب من بيت عنيا
وقف ليصلي بينما كان الشبان الذين سرقوه قد ذبحوه أخفوا اللحم في كرم حتى لا ينكشف أمرهم
