ابراهيم الأسقف
يدعى الأسقف إبراهيم أو ابراميوس Abraames, bishop of Carrhae تحتفل الكنيسة الغربية بعيده في 14 من شهر فبراير؛ حياته تعلن وحدة الحياة المسيحية دون ثنائية، فقلبه النقي يميل إلى العبادة بلا حدود، يحب الوحدة ليلتقي بعريسه السماوي، دون انغلاق نحو النفوس مقدمًا حياته مبذولة من أجل الكرازة بالحق ولد ببلدة Cyrrlus بسوريا، تاق لحياة التكريس للعبادة فعاش كمتوحد، وكان قلبه يزداد غيرة على خلاص كل نفس، لهذا التزم بالحب أن ينزل إلى قرية بجبل لبنان كل سكانها وثنيون وفي اتضاع عمل كبائع فاكهة حتى يقدم حبًا لكل من يلتقي به، وإذ اكتشفوا أنه مسيحي أساءوا معاملته جدًا وصاروا يقاومونه لكنه احتملهم بصبره ووداعته بالكاد خلص من موت كانوا يعدونه له، وفي محبته لهم كان يقترض مالاً ليدفعه لجابي الجزية ليفتدي الفلاحين الذين يتعرضون للسجن بسبب عجزهم عن الإيفاء بالجزية، فربح القرية كلها، وأقام معهم ثلاث سنوات يعلمهم ويتلمذهم فأحبوه جدًا وتعلقوا به، ولكنه في حبه للوحدة دبّر لهم سيامة كاهن وانطلق إلى البرية سيامته أسقفًا لم يكن ممكنًا أن يبقى كثيرًا في البرية فقد توافد الكثيرون إليه يطلبون إرشاده، وأخيرًا سيم أسقفًا على Carrhae بالمصيصة "ما بين النهرين"، فكان الأب الروحي الأمين في التزاماته الأسقفية مع سلوكه بحياة رهبانية زاهدة حتى تنيح عام 422 م في القسطنطينية، إذ قيل أن الإمبراطور ثيؤدوسيوس الصغير كان
