فحصلت بينهما ضجة سمعها الأسقف فأتى إلى الباب ليعلم السبب
فلما رآها قال لها: "أما تعلمين أن بيت الرب مقدس ولا يدخله غير الطاهر؟" توجعت في قلبها من هذا الكلام وبكت وقالت: "اقبلني أيها الأب فإني تائبة من هذه اللحظة ومصممة على عدم العودة للخطية"
فأجابها الأسقف قائلاً: "إن كانت توبتكِ صادقة فاحضري ملابسك الحريرية وزينتك الذهبية"
فمضت وجاءت بكل ما لها بين يديّ الأسقف، فباعه ووزع ثمنه على الفقراء، ثم أرسلها إلى دير للراهبات، فجاهدت جهادًا عظيمًا وقامت بعبادات كثيرة
وكانت في كل صلواتها تقول: "يا رب أن كنت لم أحتمل الفضيحة من خادم بيتك فلا تفضحني أمام ملائكتك وقديسيك"
ظلت تجاهد 25 سنة حتى تنيحت بسلام
